Instagram Profile Grid Reordering: Instagram has announced a new feature that allows users to arrange the grid displayed on their profile exactly as they wish.

Instagram Profile Grid Reordering: Users can now customize their Instagram profiles to their liking. The company has announced a new profile customization feature that gives users the option to rearrange posts on their profile grid. This allows users to reorganize content on their profile page without having to hide or delete posts. They will also have the option to display specific posts at the top without necessarily pinning them. Users have been requesting this feature for a long time, and Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri has now officially revealed it.

What will change with the new feature?

With the introduction of this new feature, users will be able to manually change the position of posts on their profile grid. Previously, Instagram followed a chronological order, where the most recent post appeared at the top of the grid. Although users had the option to pin three posts, they had no control over the positioning of subsequent posts. Now, with the reordering option, users can drag and drop posts to different positions. This gives them the opportunity to place their favorite, most-liked, most-viewed, and most-shared posts at the top. It also allows them to alter the overall appearance of their profile. Instagram has stated that users can now tell their story by placing their best work at the top, in the center, or anywhere else they choose.

A long-awaited feature

Instagram users and creators have been demanding this feature for a long time. The company stated that this feature would help users create a strong first impression with their profiles. It will also provide creators, businesses, and brands with the opportunity to highlight their products, campaigns, and other important content. The company stated that users will be able to change the grid layout at their convenience, and this will not affect the dates on which content was posted.

Instagram's paid subscription also rolled out

Prior to introducing the grid reordering feature, the company had already rolled out its paid subscription plan, 'Instagram Plus'. In India, it is priced at ₹299 per month. This plan offers users several features, such as keeping Stories live for up to 48 hours and viewing others' Stories without appearing on the viewer list.
