Instagram introduces a new feature called Watch History for Reels. Learn how to rewatch previously viewed Reels here.
Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri shared information about the Watch History feature for Reels.
These days, you'll see every other person scrolling through Reels on Instagram. Instagram's Reels craze is such that no one, whether ordinary or special, can remain untouched. However, one problem with this Reels scrolling was that once you'd seen a Reel, you couldn't find it again. To address this issue and make their Instagram experience more enjoyable, Instagram has introduced a new feature. You'll now be able to rewatch previously viewed Reels, as Instagram has launched the Watch History feature as part of its latest feature list.
Instagram CEO Details the New Feature
Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri shared information about the new Watch History feature for Reels on Instagram. He shared this information in a video, stating, "Hopefully, you'll be able to find things you couldn't find before, and it'll be easier for you."... As soon as Adam Mosseri announced this feature, Instagram users began thanking him profusely and showering him with positive comments.
How to Get This Feature
You can find this feature on Instagram by going to Settings > Your Activity > Watch History. First, open Instagram, then go to Settings > Your Activity, and there you'll find the Watch History feature, which will show you all your previously viewed Reels.
Why was this feature needed?
While watching a Reel on Instagram, if you received a call, refreshed the app, or tapped somewhere else, your Reel would disappear, and another Reel—video or photo—would appear. Millions of users had complained about this and had long demanded a way to restore their lost Reels. Now, Instagram's support and tech teams have found a solution.
