IndiGo Flight: Here's how to check your IndiGo flight status; it can be done in just a few steps...
For the past few days, IndiGo passengers have been facing difficulties due to continuous flight cancellations in many cities. From Delhi and Bengaluru to Kolkata and Hyderabad, hundreds of flights have either been cancelled or delayed, leaving thousands of passengers stranded at airports. They were also unable to get clear information about when their next flight would depart.
If you are traveling soon, you might also face a similar situation. In such a case, you can track the status of your IndiGo flight either through the airline's website or directly through the app. We are going to tell you how to do this here.
How to check IndiGo flight status via the website?
Whether your flight is delayed, cancelled, or on time, the live status is available on IndiGo's official website. Check it using the website as follows:
First, go to goindigo.com or goIndiGo.in
Then, click on Flight Status from the top menu and choose your search method:
- Flight Number: You will need to enter your six-character flight code (starting with 6E) and travel date.
- Route: If you don't know your flight number, you can also select the departure city, arrival city, and date.
Now, simply click on Search.
After that, your live status will show the scheduled time, revised time, terminal, gate details, and whether your flight is on time, delayed, departed, landed, or cancelled. Delayed flights are usually highlighted.
How to check IndiGo flight status on the mobile app?
The app is another easy option to check your IndiGo flight status:
Download and open the official IndiGo app from the Play Store or App Store.
Tap on Flight Status on the home screen.
Enter the flight number or route details.
Tap on Search/Check Status.
You will get real-time departure and arrival updates, as well as any changes to the terminal.
To receive instant alerts, keep app notifications turned on. Why are IndiGo flights being cancelled?
According to the airline, these disruptions are due to operational issues, including crew shortages caused by updated rostering rules, technology-related delays, and ongoing changes to flight schedules.
According to reports, IndiGo has informed the regulator that it will temporarily reduce operations to stabilize its schedule, and normal operations are expected to resume by early February. Further cancellations or delays may occur until then.
