How long will this offer be available?
According to information released by the Ministry of Railways, this discount offer will be valid for six months. The offer will start on January 14, 2026, and the last date will be July 14, 2026.

Benefit available on all digital payments
Currently, the Railways offers a 3% cashback only on payments made through R-Wallet on the 'RailOne' app. However, under the new rules, passengers will receive a direct 3% discount on payments made through any digital mode (such as UPI, debit/credit cards, net banking). The ministry instructed the Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS) on December 30 to make the necessary changes to the software so that this facility can be launched from January 14.

What is the objective?
The main objective of the Railways is to reduce congestion at ticket counters and promote digital booking. Officials have clarified that this special discount will be available only on the 'RailOne' app and not on any other platform. It is worth noting that the existing cashback offer through R-Wallet will also continue. However, the new scheme expands the scope of the discount to include all digital payment modes.
