Indian Railways Launches ‘RailOne’ App: One Platform for Ticket Booking, Train Info, Complaints, and More

In a major digital upgrade for passengers, Indian Railways has launched a unified mobile application called RailOne, bringing all essential railway services under one platform. With this app, passengers can now book tickets, check train status, lodge complaints, give feedback, and even buy platform tickets — all in one place.
The Railway Ministry announced that RailOne integrates multiple existing railway services into a single, seamless digital interface. It aims to make travel management simpler, faster, and more user-friendly, eliminating the need to juggle between multiple apps.
All Railway Services in One App
The RailOne app combines several functions that were previously distributed across different applications such as IRCTC Rail Connect, UTS, Rail Madad, eCatering, and National Train Enquiry System (NTES).
Now, users can access:
-
Reserved ticket booking (IRCTC)
-
Unreserved ticket booking (UTS)
-
Platform ticket booking
-
PNR status check
-
Train tracking and coach position
-
Complaint and feedback submission (Rail Madad)
-
Catering and service updates
This unified structure saves time, mobile storage, and the hassle of remembering multiple passwords.
Single Login Access
Passengers no longer need separate logins for different railway apps. With RailOne, users can access all services using one unified login. Those who already have an account on IRCTC Rail Connect or UTSonMobile can log in directly using their existing credentials.
This single sign-in feature not only simplifies usage but also enhances security and convenience, ensuring smoother access for millions of passengers.
Built-in Railway E-Wallet
RailOne introduces a new Railway e-Wallet to make payments faster and safer. Passengers can pay for tickets or other services through this wallet, secured by mPIN or biometric login.
The e-Wallet will also speed up transactions during peak times such as Tatkal bookings, where payment delays often lead to booking failures.
Easy Registration and Guest Login
For new users, registration on RailOne is extremely simple. You can sign up using just a mobile number and OTP verification. The app also supports guest login, allowing occasional users to access select features without full registration.
Available on Android and iOS
The RailOne app is now live on both Google Play Store and Apple App Store, making it accessible for all smartphone users across the country. The app’s interface has been designed for easy navigation and minimal loading time, even on low-end devices.
Why RailOne Was Created
Until now, Indian Railways offered its services through multiple apps —
-
IRCTC Rail Connect: for reserved ticket booking
-
UTS: for unreserved ticketing
-
Rail Madad: for complaints and feedback
-
eCatering Food on Track: for meal orders
-
NTES: for live train tracking and status updates
Managing multiple apps was inconvenient for passengers, often causing confusion and storage issues. RailOne solves this problem by combining all these services into a single, integrated platform, providing a unified travel experience.
Addressing Past Technical Glitches
In recent months, users had raised complaints about technical errors and server downtime in the IRCTC app, especially during Tatkal bookings. Many passengers took to social media to report issues and tag Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, demanding improvements in system performance.
With RailOne, Indian Railways aims to deliver a more stable, reliable, and efficient platform that reduces downtime and enhances the overall passenger experience. The unified app is expected to streamline digital ticketing and customer support, setting a new benchmark for India’s transport digitization.
The Road Ahead
By merging all railway digital services, RailOne marks a significant step toward a modern, tech-driven Indian Railways. The app will not only simplify passenger engagement but also reduce dependence on external booking platforms.
With a focus on convenience, transparency, and innovation, RailOne is poised to redefine how passengers interact with railway services — making travel planning, ticketing, and assistance just a click away.
