Swiggy has launched an AI-powered business assistant named 'GURU' for its restaurant partners, designed to operate 24/7. The company states that this tool was introduced to help restaurant operators make data-driven decisions, manage operations, and boost sales. Notably, the service has been rolled out to over 250,000 restaurants across more than 720 cities, covering everything from small neighborhood kitchens to multi-outlet restaurant chains.

What makes Guru special?
The standout feature of Swiggy Guru is its ability to interact with restaurant owners in their own languages. It offers support in over 20 local languages, ranging from Hindi and English to Kannada and Telugu. Additionally, restaurant operators can submit operational queries at any time—day or night—and receive immediate solutions.

What can Guru AI do?
Swiggy’s new AI assistant does more than just provide information; it assists with various business and operational tasks, such as:

1. Sales Funnel and Performance Analysis
This AI assistant can analyze the restaurant's entire sales funnel. Partners can track metrics like GMV (Gross Merchandise Value), total orders, Average Order Value (AOV), and over 30 other key business indicators.
It can also significantly aid in boosting sales by identifying areas where performance is lagging and offering actionable suggestions for improvement.

2. Advertising and Discount Campaigns
Restaurant owners can launch, review, or modify advertising campaigns directly through chat prompts. Managing discounts and promotional offers is now as simple as typing a message.

3. Menu Optimization and Insights
It can also inform the owner about which dishes are most popular among customers; in other words, Guru can identify the best-selling categories or dishes within minutes.
AI can assist in adding new menu items, generating engaging descriptions, and optimizing the overall menu. This enables restaurants to fine-tune their menus based on customer demand and sales data.

4. Comprehensive Payout Information
Restaurant partners can also use Guru to understand details regarding their payouts, including tax reports and payout summaries.
This reduces the need for restaurant operators to navigate through multiple screens or reports to understand their financial data.

Why did Swiggy launch Guru AI?
Rohit Kapoor, CEO of Swiggy Food Marketplace, states that after partnering with restaurants for over 12 years, they understand the daily operational demands and multitasking their partners face.
With Guru, they are introducing an intuitive, AI-first assistant that redefines daily restaurant management by offering 24/7 support, rapid query resolution, and actionable performance insights to help grow the business.
Guru focuses on business growth, not just AI.

According to Swiggy, Guru is part of a broader initiative to provide restaurant partners with real-time business insights and digital tools. Its goal is to simplify daily restaurant operations and help boost profitability.
