Grok AI Controversy: A disturbing trend is going viral on X (formerly Twitter), with Elon Musk's Grok AI reportedly generating offensive images of women..

Social media

A disturbing trend is currently unfolding on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter). Users are tagging Grok AI on ordinary photos of women and instructing it to alter or remove their clothing. Surprisingly, Musk's AI is fulfilling these requests without hesitation. As a result, Grok's media section is now filled with thousands of images that violate women's dignity.

Users are taking advantage of fewer restrictions.
When Elon Musk launched Grok, he proudly stated that his AI would not have the same strict restrictions as other tools (like ChatGPT or Gemini). But now, this freedom has become a threat to women. Users are openly using Grok AI to manipulate (morph) photos of other users available on the platform. By tagging Grok, users are giving instructions like "remove her clothes," and Grok is enthusiastically complying with these commands.

The most concerning aspect of this is that these offensive images are not private. The output from Google's Gemini or OpenAI's ChatGPT is only visible to the user. However, Grok is directly integrated with the X platform, so every image it creates is visible in Grok's public media feed. This means that anyone in the world can see these deepfake images.

Grok's response
When Grok itself was asked about this, its response was even more shocking. The AI acknowledged that people were making funny and playful requests (like removing clothes), but instead of considering it a problem, it described it as a test of its image-editing skills. Although Grok stated that decency is important, no such decency is evident on X.

A history of controversies
This is not the first time Grok has been accused of spreading obscenity. Earlier, reports emerged that employees training Grok were forced to view horrific content, including child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Additionally, Grok's Companion Mode also faced significant criticism due to its highly offensive design and behavior.
