The Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) has issued a new security advisory. This government agency's warning is for those using Google Chrome on their computers. On October 30th, CERT-In stated that the privacy of users using Google's Chrome browser on Windows, macOS, and Linux is at risk. Hackers can remotely access devices and steal data. The cybersecurity agency has advised all users to update their Chrome browser as soon as possible.

CERT-In warns Chrome users.
The government cybersecurity agency CERT-In has stated in its report that Google's web browser, Chrome, contains certain flaws. Due to these flaws, hackers can easily hack any device. They can not only steal data from the device, but CERT-In has classified it as high-risk.

This flaw in Google Chrome exists on Linux versions 142.0.7444.59 or older. On Windows and Mac, this vulnerability exists in Chrome versions 142.0.7444.59/60 or older. This bug in Google Chrome occurs through components such as the V8 JavaScript engine, extensions, autofill, media, and Omnibox. Additionally, issues such as type confusion, use-after-free errors, and policy bypasses have also emerged. These issues could allow hackers to gain control of the system through arbitrary code and bypass security protections.

How to Update Google Chrome?
To avoid this risk, CERT-In recommends updating to the latest version of Google Chrome, 142.0.7444.60 or later. To update Google Chrome, users should go to the browser's menu, then go to Help, and click on About Google Chrome. A new page will open, where the latest update for Google Chrome will automatically install. After the update is complete, you will need to restart the Chrome browser.
