Good news for YouTube creators! Closed channels are now open to reopening – learn what to do...

YouTube has launched a remarkable initiative for creators. If your YouTube channel was terminated for any reason, you may now have the opportunity to revive it. YouTube recently launched a new pilot program, allowing creators who meet certain criteria to request to reinstate their channel. Previously, there was no way to revive a channel once it was terminated, but this new program will provide a second chance for creators who want to learn from their mistakes and start afresh.
Which creators can create a new channel and which cannot?
YouTube has established certain rules for this program. YouTube will consider certain factors when creating a new channel, such as:
Are you eligible? This will include whether the creator has consistently or severely violated YouTube's Community Guidelines in the past.
Is your activity in order? YouTube will also consider whether your online and offline activity could be harmful to the YouTube community. If so, you won't be eligible for a new channel.
No opportunity for:
Creators whose channels were suspended for copyright violations.
Creators whose channels were suspended for violating Creator Responsibility Policies.
If your channel was suspended for any of these reasons, you won't be eligible for this program at this time.
How to create a new channel?
If you're eligible for this program, creating a new channel is quite simple:
Log in: First, log in to YouTube Studio (on desktop) with the account you previously suspended.
See options: Once logged in, you'll see the option to create a new channel.
Request: Click this option to submit your request.
Upon approval: If your request is approved, you'll be able to create a new channel.
A few important things:
If you've already deleted your YouTube channel or Google account, you won't see this option right now.
You can't apply for a new channel within a year of your channel's closure. However, you can appeal the channel termination during this time.
What to do after you get a new channel?
Once you get a new channel, it's a completely fresh start. You'll need to rebuild your community (followers). To do this:
Upload old videos: You can re-upload your old videos.
Partner Program: If your new channel meets all the YouTube Partner Program criteria, you can reapply and start earning money again.
This new pilot program is a great opportunity for creators who want to learn from their mistakes, rebuild their communities and connect with people through their content. This is YouTube's second opportunity for creators to establish their identity again while adhering to the rules.
