Google has introduced a "Manage Subscriptions" feature in the Gmail app for users. This allows Android and iOS users worldwide to see who is sending them emails and easily unsubscribe. The main goal is to declutter your inbox by managing newsletters.

How does the new feature work?
Google has introduced this feature in the Gmail mobile app to help users regain control of their inboxes, which are often flooded with newsletters, promotional messages, and marketing emails. The tool, called "Manage Subscriptions," gathers all active mailing lists in one place. This allows users to unsubscribe from them with just a few taps. Google announced this feature at the beginning of the summer, but many users have only recently noticed it. It comes at the perfect time to combat the flood of promotional emails during Black Friday and other sales events. Now, instead of deleting messages one by one, you can directly see which senders are filling your inbox.

How to find "Manage Subscriptions" in Gmail?
Using this feature is very easy. Tap on the three dots (Menu) in the upper left corner of the Gmail app. Now select the "Manage Subscriptions" option in the menu. If you are seeing it for the first time, the word "New" might be next to this option. Upon opening it, Gmail will display a list of mailing lists associated with your account. Gmail indicates who sends the most emails; each sender's name has a note indicating how many emails you have recently received from them. This helps users identify which brands or services are sending them the most messages.

How to unsubscribe?
To unsubscribe from unwanted emails, tap on the envelope icon next to the sender's name. A confirmation pop-up will appear, where you can proceed or cancel. After confirming, the mailing list will be removed from the page. In most cases, Gmail completes the unsubscribe process without you having to leave the app. However, for some senders, you may need to visit an external website.

The bulk unsubscribe feature is not currently available.
Currently, Gmail does not offer a bulk unsubscribe option through 'Manage Subscriptions'. Each mailing list must be reviewed and unsubscribed from individually. While this may take some time, it prevents you from accidentally unsubscribing from newsletters you actually want to read. This feature is now available on both Android and iOS, making it even easier for smartphone users to keep their inboxes clean.
