Facebook: Now you can get a job through Facebook! After three years, Meta has reintroduced this amazing feature..

Meta has relaunched its Local Job Listings feature after three years. Users will now be able to search for and apply for jobs in their area. The feature was discontinued in 2022 and has now been reinstated in the US. Users can view and apply for nearby jobs through Facebook's Marketplace, Groups, and Pages, or communicate directly with employers via Messenger.
Aims to Promote Local Employment
Meta states that this initiative aims to connect people with work opportunities within their community. This will make the job search process easier, faster, and more local. Small businesses and local business owners will benefit significantly, especially as they will be able to find the right candidates within their area.
Meta's move appears to be a direct challenge to LinkedIn, but its target audience is different. Facebook's focus is on entry-level, trade, and service sector job seekers, not corporate or high-professional jobs.
Simplified Recruitment Process for Employers
Small business owners can now easily post jobs on Facebook. They simply need to enter job-related information, such as salary, hours, qualifications, and responsibilities, just like listing products on Marketplace. These job posts will automatically be visible to all nearby adult Facebook users, saving time for both employers and candidates.
How to Apply for a Job
Go to the Jobs section of Marketplace on the Facebook app or website. Users can search for jobs by filtering them by job type, category, or distance. When you find a vacancy, apply directly or contact the employer via Messenger.
Employers can also post new vacancies from their Facebook Page or Meta Business Suite. This feature has currently been launched in the US, but will soon be rolled out to other countries to promote local employment globally.
