With Modes, photos can be styled to resemble 35mm film, 2000s-era digital cameras, and other vintage aesthetics. Users can adjust the intensity of these effects to their liking using a slider.

The new Google Photos update also introduces 15 new remix templates. These templates will be available in select countries on both Android and iOS, allowing users to transform their photos in various creative ways. These include options to transform photos into red-carpet-style images, birthday cards, or photo booth shots. Remix templates are available to users aged 18 and older.

AI Wardrobe: Digital Clothing Collection and Virtual Styling
Google is also expanding the reach of its AI-powered wardrobe feature. It is now available to eligible Android and iOS users in the US, India, and Brazil.

This feature allows users to organize clothing items visible in wardrobe photos into a digital collection. Users can view their various garments and get assistance in creating new outfit combinations.

The feature also supports virtual styling and trying out new looks. Google states that wardrobe-related data is not shared with third parties, such as retailers.

Gemini Spark to Work with Google Photos
Google has also begun integrating Gemini Spark with Google Photos. This allows Gemini Spark to utilize images from the user's Google Photos library. For instance, a user can ask to find a specific type of photo—such as a family portrait—in a single request.

Gemini Spark can then help locate the photos, enhance their brightness, and prepare them for sharing. Essentially, multiple tasks—such as selecting, enhancing, and preparing a photo for sharing—can be accomplished via a single prompt.

Who Will Get These New Features?
Availability varies by platform and region. For example, the update featuring Remix templates will be available to Android and iOS users (aged 18+) in select countries.

The wardrobe update is rolling out to eligible Android and iOS users in the US, India, and Brazil, while the Gemini Spark integration update is available to eligible Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers in the US.
