Lucid Dreaming Wearable: Prophetic AI, a U.S.-based startup, has introduced a wearable device that reportedly helps users control their dreams. Until now, this technology seemed like something out of science fiction, but the company claims it could soon become a tangible reality.

What is Dream Control Technology?
According to the company, the new device is capable of triggering both "Phase" and "Dual" lucid dreaming states. Lucid dreaming is a state in which an individual becomes aware that they are dreaming and can, to some extent, control the dream itself.

How Does This Device Work?
The device resembles a headband worn on the head, equipped with wires and built-in sensors. According to the company, it stimulates the brain's prefrontal cortex using safe ultrasonic energy. This activates the brain's frontoparietal network—an area that typically remains dormant during sleep. This process is claimed to enhance awareness (lucidity) within dreams.

Additionally, these devices feature EEG (Electroencephalogram) sensors that track brain activity. Similar technology is being utilized in projects such as Neuralink, although those applications typically require brain implants. Prophetic AI, however, asserts that its devices function without the need for surgery.

What is the Price of These Devices?
The company has launched two distinct models. The "Prophetic Dual" is priced at approximately ₹43,000, with deliveries scheduled to commence by the end of this year. Meanwhile, the advanced version—the "Prophetic Phase"—is priced at approximately ₹122,000. The Phase model is considered more powerful as it offers finer control over the ultrasound stimulation, thereby enabling a more precise command over one's dreams. Indeed, the Phase model is regarded as the more advanced of the two, as its superior control over ultrasound allows users to exercise greater mastery over the content and direction of their dreams.
