Instagram Profile Customization: Meta is rolling out a series of fantastic features for its Instagram users. Following 'Instagram Plus,' the company has now launched a feature that users have long awaited: the ability to reorganize posts on their profile grid according to their preference. With this new update, users will no longer need to delete or re-upload posts to change their profile layout; they can simply drag photos to move them up, down, left, or right at any time. Notably, the original publication date and engagement history of the posts will remain unaffected.

You now have full control over your profile grid.
With this new grid reordering feature, users can change the position of posts on their profile. Previously, content appeared based on the order in which it was posted, with only pinned posts visible at the top; now, however, you can place your favorite content at the top without needing to repost it.

How to use this new feature

Using it is incredibly simple. Just follow the steps below:
Open your Instagram profile.
Press and hold any post for a few seconds.
Doing so will reveal the 'Reorder Grid' option.

Now, drag the post and drop it wherever you like.
Once done, anyone viewing your profile will see the content arranged according to your preference.

A major benefit for creators and brands
This update could prove especially useful for content creators, photographers, artists, influencers, and business accounts. They will now be able to better highlight their most important content and reorganize their profiles to align with current campaigns, projects, or branding themes.

Additionally, business accounts will be able to showcase their promotional content more effectively, thereby enhancing the visual appeal of their profiles.

The best part is that you don't have to wait for it; this feature has already been rolled out to all users' phones. If you do not see this on your Instagram, update the app first. The best part is that this will not affect likes, comments, or other engagement data on posts.

A feature arriving after a long wait
Instagram head Adam Mosseri had hinted last year that the company was working on this feature. It is now being rolled out globally. The company believes this update will give users more freedom to present their content more effectively.
