How to update your email ID using the Aadhaar App?
If you wish to add or change your email ID, you can follow these simple steps:
Download or update the app: Download the official UIDAI Aadhaar App on your smartphone. If you already have the app, ensure it is updated to the latest version.
Log in to the app: Initiate the login process by entering your Aadhaar number. Registration requires your Aadhaar number, the selected SIM card, and face authentication. You will also need to set a 6-digit PIN to secure the app.
Select the email ID update option: After logging in, locate the option to add or update your email ID within the app. Tap on it and enter your new email ID.
Complete verification: Verify your details by following the on-screen instructions. Once all necessary steps are completed, submit the update request.
Wait for confirmation: Upon successful verification, your new email ID will be updated in your Aadhaar records.
Until when can the email ID be updated for free?
UIDAI has waived the standard ₹75 fee for updating an email address via the Aadhaar App. This waiver is valid until December 31, 2026. In other words, you will not have to pay this fee if you link or update your email ID via the app by this date.
