State-owned telecom company BSNL has been offering increasingly affordable plans for some time to compete with private telecom companies, attracting many customers. However, did you know that BSNL recently quietly reduced the validity of several of its plans? Yes, the company has reduced the validity of several prepaid recharge plans, a fact that many people are still unaware of.

With these changes, users will now have to recharge more frequently than before. This means that while plan prices may seem lower, the reduced validity actually increases the overall cost. While some plans offer higher data benefits, the shorter validity negates this benefit. Let's explore which plans are included in these changes.

BSNL's ₹1,499 plan
Talking about BSNL's first plan, it costs ₹1499. The validity of this plan, which previously offered 336 days, has now been reduced to 300 days. This means users will now receive 36 days less validity. However, calling will still be unlimited. The company has made a significant change to this plan: it previously offered 24GB of data, but now offers 32GB. So, the validity has decreased, but you're getting more data.

BSNL's ₹997 plan
BSNL has also reduced the validity of its ₹997 plan. Previously, this plan offered 160 days of validity, but now it offers only 150 days, meaning the validity has been reduced by 10 days. However, this plan still offers 2GB of data per day, 100 SMS messages, and unlimited calling.

BSNL's Rs. 897 plan
BSNL has not only reduced the validity of this plan, but also changed its benefits. Previously, this plan offered a validity of 180 days, but now it's reduced to 165 days, meaning you'll get 15 days less. Furthermore, this plan previously offered a total of 90GB of data, but now only offers 24GB of data. This includes unlimited calling and 100 SMS.

BSNL's Rs. 599 plan
BSNL has also made changes to its Rs. 599 plan. Its validity has been reduced. Previously, this plan came with a validity of 84 days, but now you'll only get 70 days. However, you still get 3GB of data per day, unlimited calling, and 100 SMS per day. The benefits remain the same, but the reduced validity makes this plan seem a bit more expensive.

BSNL's Rs. 439 plan
BSNL has also reduced the validity of this plan by 10 days. Previously, this plan came with a validity of 90 days, but now you only get 80 days with this plan. This plan offers unlimited calling and 300 SMS.

BSNL's Rs. 319 plan
The BSNL plan, priced under ₹400, seemed like a good option because it offered a validity of 65 days. But now its validity has also been reduced to 60 days, meaning 5 days have been reduced. This plan still offers 10GB of data and 300 SMS.

BSNL's Rs. 197 plan
This budget plan from BSNL, priced under ₹200, was a good option and offered a validity of 54 days, but now it has been reduced to 48 days. This plan also offers a total of 4GB of data and 100 SMS messages. This means that this affordable plan will soon be discontinued.
