Big change for Facebook and WhatsApp users from December 16th; the company will use your conversation data with Meta AI..

If you use Meta's AI products, such as chatbots and virtual assistants, then there's important news for you. Meta has announced that, starting December 16th, it will use data from users' conversations and activity with its AI products, such as chatbots and virtual assistants. The company will use this data to display personalized ads, posts, and content on Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp. This new rule will affect monthly users who use Meta AI. Meta has stated that information about this new policy will begin appearing in users' inboxes and apps starting October 7th. This means that people will now see ads, posts, and content on their Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp feeds based on conversations with Meta's AI chatbots.
The rule will come into effect on December 16th.
Meta will begin using users' conversations with its AI products starting December 16th. However, the company will begin providing information about this in advance. Users will begin receiving email alerts several weeks before the rule takes effect.
Why is the company using this data?

Conversations with AI will not be visible.
If you're thinking that any conversations with Meta AI will be visible directly in your feed, that's not the case. Advertisements based on those conversations will be displayed in the feed. This is being done to make users' feeds more personalized.
No option to turn it off.
It's worth noting that users don't have any option to prevent Meta AI from using their conversations with AI. There's no such option in the settings.
Meta's Purpose
Meta has clarified that this new rule will come into effect on December 16th. According to Meta, this data will help it decide which ads, posts, and content users see on Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp. Meta stated in an update that it is also using Meta AI and its other AI features to improve user experiences across all its platforms.
Policy will not be implemented in these countries.
Note that Meta's new advertising policy will not be implemented everywhere at once. Initially, this rule will not apply in the UK, European Union countries, and South Korea. If you do not want Meta to use the conversations between you and the AI, you will need to stop using Meta AI.
