The government has made the e-KYC process mandatory to ensure the security of LPG gas connections and to prevent fraudulent connections. If you do not complete your e-KYC on time, you may face difficulties or delays in booking your gas cylinder. Therefore, it is crucial to complete this process promptly.

How to Perform LPG e-KYC Online?
Performing e-KYC online is very simple, and you can complete it from the comfort of your home using your mobile phone. First, you need to download the app corresponding to your Oil Marketing Company—such as IndianOil ONE, BharatGas App, or HP Gas App. Next, install the 'Aadhaar FaceRD' app on your smartphone, which is required for facial verification. Now, log in to your LPG account using the mobile number registered with it. After logging in, navigate to the 'e-KYC' or 'Aadhaar Authentication' section. Here, you will be asked to provide your Aadhaar number and other necessary details; ensure you fill them out accurately.

Subsequently, your facial authentication will be conducted using the FaceRD app. This process matches your facial features against the data stored in the Aadhaar database. Once this step is complete, submit your request and wait for the confirmation.

How to Perform LPG e-KYC Offline?
If you prefer not to use the online method, you can also complete your e-KYC offline. To do this, you must visit your nearest LPG distributor. When visiting, ensure you carry your Aadhaar card and the mobile number registered with your account. Request the distributor to perform an Aadhaar-based biometric verification. You will then be required to provide either your fingerprint or facial authentication.

Once your verification is completed, you will receive a confirmation, and your e-KYC process will be finalized.

Prerequisites for LPG e-KYC
To perform LPG e-KYC, you must possess an Aadhaar card that is linked to your mobile number. Additionally, your LPG connection must be currently active. If you opt for the online method, you must have a smartphone with an internet connection and the 'Aadhaar FaceRD' app installed. This app is essential for conducting the biometric verification.

What Happens If You Do Not Complete e-KYC? If you do not complete your Aadhaar-based e-KYC on time, your LPG services may face interruptions. You could experience delays in booking a gas cylinder, or your booking process may be stalled. The government has advised all users to complete their e-KYC as soon as possible to avoid any potential inconveniences.
