Are you losing money through unauthorized UPI transactions? Stop all AutoPay payments with a single click using this government portal..
Are you secretly losing money through UPI? Stop it with one click using this government portal! Do you also receive messages about money being deducted from your UPI account unexpectedly, leaving you wondering why? This is a problem for millions of people today who have enabled AutoPay on apps like Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hotstar, or various recharge apps. Even if they delete the app, the money continues to be deducted from their account. Fortunately, a government portal allows you to easily cancel unwanted subscriptions immediately. This NPCI portal provides information about all AutoPay payments linked to your account in one place, and you can disable any subscription you want from there. Let's understand in detail how you can use it.
What is AutoPay, and what are its problems?
When you subscribe to an app or service, automatic payments are enabled from your account on those apps. This is done so that you can enjoy your subscription without any interruption. However, people often forget about these subscriptions, and money continues to be deducted from their accounts. While this AutoPay service was created for the convenience of users, the problem is that a large number of people suffer losses because of it. They forget about the subscriptions and end up losing 100, 200, 500, or 1000 rupees every month from their accounts.
How to stop unwanted subscriptions and AutoPay payments?
To save the money being wasted every month, you don't need to check AutoPay settings in every single app. NPCI has created an official portal where all AutoPay payments are displayed together. By visiting this portal, you can cancel your unwanted subscriptions and AutoPay payments all at once. To do this, you need to:
Search for upihelp.npci in your mobile or laptop browser.
This will take you to the official UPI website of NPCI. Note that, being a government portal, it is completely secure. Log in here using the same mobile number that is linked to your UPI account.
Upon logging in, you will see the "Show My AutoPay Mandates" option. Click on it.
After this, you will see a complete list of all your active AutoPay mandates.
Which services' AutoPay will be displayed?
When you go to the AutoPay Mandates section, you will see every detail clearly. Here you can see how much money is being deducted from your account every month for each app or service, and when this AutoPay has been active.
For example, if you ever subscribed to the Netflix ₹649 plan and you no longer watch Netflix, you can see it on the NPCI portal and disable the AutoPay for the future. Here you can decide which subscriptions are useful and which ones to cancel.
How to cancel unwanted AutoPay mandates?
You can also cancel unwanted AutoPay mandates on the NPCI portal. To do this, follow the steps mentioned above to open the list of AutoPay mandates. Then, for the AutoPay that is no longer needed, select Pause or Revoke.
Pause means that the AutoPay will be temporarily stopped; you can reactivate it later if you wish. Revoke means it will be completely canceled. If you want to subscribe again, you will have to set it up from scratch. Both of these options will be available next to each AutoPay mandate, and you can complete the process with a single click.
