The indigenous messaging app Arratai is steadily gaining popularity. Its daily downloads have increased from 3,500 to over 300,000, and it is trending at number 1 on the Apple App Store. Meanwhile, big news has emerged that a UPI payment feature may be available on Arratai. This information was shared by Sridhar Vembu, co-founder of Zoho Corporation, in a post on X. It's worth noting that Arratai is an app from the Indian tech company Zoho. Zoho and Arratai gained popularity following Prime Minister Modi's call to adopt indigenous technologies.

Sridhar Vembu shared the information.
Zoho Corporation co-founder Sridhar Vembu shared the information in a post on X that India's own messaging app will soon have the UPI payment feature. He wrote in his post, "I'm a big fan of UPI, and Sharad Sharma of iSpirt, who made this technology successful, is like a friend." In his post, he also mentioned that he will be enlisting Sharad Sharma's help in integrating UPI into his platform and that he doesn't want Arratai to become a closed platform like WhatsApp.

Feature Already Available on WhatsApp
WhatsApp already has a UPI feature called Payments. After verifying your number on WhatsApp, you can easily make UPI payments by entering your bank details. This feature was currently missing from the Arratai app, but according to Sridhar Vembu, it will be made available soon.

Many Special Features Available
While the payments feature isn't currently available on the Arratai app, it does have several features that are currently available on the app but not on WhatsApp. One of these features is Meetings, which allows you to schedule and attend meetings on the app, as well as record them. Additionally, it has a feature called Pocket, which can be used as a personal folder.
