Apple's first foldable iPhone is already generating buzz even before its launch. New leaked reports have revealed several important details about its design and features. It is being reported that the phone may come with a book-style folding design similar to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold. The device could feature the return of Touch ID, a dual 48MP camera, and a large inner display. If the leaks prove true, this would be the biggest change to Apple's smartphone portfolio.

Book-Style Fold Design and New Button Layout
According to a MacRumors report, Apple's first foldable iPhone will come with a book-fold design, similar to the Galaxy Z Fold series. When unfolded, the device will offer a large, tablet-like display. The volume buttons are said to be located on the upper right edge, similar to the iPad mini. The power button will have integrated Touch ID, and the camera control buttons will also be on the right edge. The left side will be completely smooth, without any physical buttons.

Major Changes in Display and Camera Design
The foldable iPhone may feature a single punch-hole design for the front camera, which could make the Dynamic Island smaller than before. The rear panel of the phone may feature an iPhone Air-style camera plateau design. It will have two cameras arranged in a horizontal line, along with a microphone and flash. Importantly, the camera module will have a completely black finish, regardless of the phone's body color. Color options may also be limited, with only two colors available at launch.

Return of Touch ID and Dual Screen Setup
According to reports, Apple may bring back Touch ID in this foldable model instead of Face ID. When unfolded, the phone will have a large 7.8-inch inner display, while the outer cover screen will be 5.3 inches. The cover screen will allow users to perform small tasks without unfolding the phone. The camera setup may include dual 48MP sensors on the back. Both screens are expected to have 18MP selfie cameras, making video calls easy in both folded and unfolded modes.

Processor, Body, and Performance Details
Leaked information suggests that the foldable iPhone may use a body frame made of a mix of titanium and aluminum. This design will be different from the Pro models, which feature a full aluminum body. The device is expected to have 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM. There are also rumors of Apple's new C2 modem for connectivity. This setup is likely designed to deliver improved network performance and power efficiency. There is no official confirmation regarding the launch timeline yet, but it is being seen as Apple's biggest hardware experiment to date.
