AI robot doorstep deliveries: Doorstep delivery using AI drones and robots begins in Gurugram, learn how goods will be delivered to your home..
Gurugram drone and AI robot doorstep deliveries: A major change has begun in the world of delivery in Gurugram. In some areas, delivery will now be handled not by delivery boys, but by drones and AI-powered robots. Starting Monday, the country's first fully automated "physical AI" delivery network was launched in Sector 102. Gurugram-based drone delivery company Sky Air launched it. Residents of Sector 102 will be able to have their food, groceries, and other small items delivered directly to their doorsteps using this new technology.
This system was launched following the "AI Impact Summit 2026." With this, India has joined the select group of countries where drones and robots are working together for delivery.
How will robotic deliveries work?
This network consists of four main components.
The first is the Sky Port. This is where drones take off.
The second is the Sky Ship, which is the drone that delivers goods to the intended destination by air.
The third component is the Arrive Point. This is a smart box, secure like a safe. The drone places the goods in this box.
The fourth component is the Autobots. These are small robots that remove the goods from the smart box and deliver them directly to the customer's doorstep. These robots can easily operate both indoors and outdoors.
This means that humans are not required to transport goods from one location to another. The entire process is automated with the help of AI and robots.
Sky Air Mobility says that India has already demonstrated its strength in software, and now the country is also moving forward in real-world AI delivery. According to the company, over 3.6 million automated deliveries have been made in the last two years, reducing nearly 1,000 tons of carbon emissions. This means fewer vehicles will be on the roads, traffic will decrease, and pollution will also decrease.
If this model is successful, similar deliveries could be implemented in other cities in the future. It is clear from this initiative of Gurugram that the way of delivering goods can completely change in the future.
