Accidentally deleted a chat on WhatsApp? Don't worry, you can recover it even without a backup!
WhatsApp stores many old chats, but sometimes they get deleted accidentally. In such situations, you can restore them using a few methods, even without a backup.
WhatsApp contains many old and important chats. These can include important addresses, phone numbers, advice, photos, and videos, which is why people often don't delete them for years. However, sometimes a chat gets deleted by mistake. If this has happened to you, there's no need to worry. You can recover the deleted chat even without a backup. Today, we're going to tell you how.
Can a chat be recovered without a backup?
WhatsApp doesn't offer an option to recover deleted chats without a backup, but it can be done using some methods. The first method will work on Android smartphones that store local chat files. If your phone stores local chat files, this can be done easily.
How to recover a chat
First, open the file manager and open the folder named WhatsApp. Go to the Database folder and look for files saved with recent dates. If you find these files, this is the local record of your chats, which the phone stores even after the backup is turned off. If these files are available, uninstall and reinstall WhatsApp without clearing the app data. Then, when you verify your number, WhatsApp will detect these local files and try to restore the chats. Note that this method will only work if the local files were saved on your phone before they were deleted and are still available on your phone.
Here's another method
Alternatively, if you have shared the chats with someone, ask them to export the conversations back to you. You can export chats in text format on WhatsApp. This won't completely restore the chat, but you will get the content.
