Following in the footsteps of gadgets like smartwatches and Fitbits—which monitor your daily physical health—Zomato co-founder Deepinder Goyal has developed a new wearable device designed to track brain health. Named "Temple," the device helps monitor cerebral blood flow. It will be released in separate batches, with pre-orders for the first batch set to begin on November 1st. According to a screenshot shared on the social media platform X, select users have already been granted "early-bird" access to purchase the device ahead of the official public pre-order launch. The email also reveals the potential price of the device. Let’s take a look at everything known so far about the first version of Temple.

Price of Temple
According to an email shared by Tarun M on X, the first batch of Temple will be priced at ₹85,000, a figure that includes a lifetime subscription. It is worth noting that this email serves as an "early-bird" invitation sent to a limited number of users, allowing them to place an order for Temple before pre-orders open to the general public.

The email instructs these select users to download the Temple app to complete their purchase and confirms that the number of units available in the first batch will be quite limited. However, it should be noted that the creators have not yet made an official, public announcement regarding the final launch price of the wearable.

Pre-order Dates and Availability
Pre-orders for the first batch of this upcoming wearable device are scheduled to begin on November 1, 2026. Ahead of the broader, large-scale launch, a select group of users has been invited to place orders via the Temple app. The company has also clarified that only a limited number of units will be available in the first batch, and each unit will be handcrafted upon receiving an order.

Users who have received an invitation are instructed to download the 'Temple' app and sign in using the same email address to which the invitation was sent in order to gain early access.

Furthermore, Deepinder Goyal previously confirmed that Temple will be available in six premium colors: True Gold, Rose Gold, Black Mirror, Real Jade, Deep Blue, and Purple Funk. Information regarding early access also indicates that Real Jade, Deep Blue, and Purple Funk will be limited-edition options.

What is Temple, and how does it work?
Temple is a wearable device designed to track changes in cerebral blood flow—that is, the flow of blood within the brain. Unlike a typical smartwatch, which tracks metrics such as steps, heart rate, and sleep, Temple utilizes optical sensors to measure changes directly related to blood flow in the brain. The company refers to this proprietary technology as 'BrainFlow.'

The device is worn on the side of the head, in the area between the forehead and the ear. It is attached to the skin using single-use adhesive strips known as 'Grips.' The device generates an 'entropy score'—ranging from 1 to 250—which reflects the physical and mental strain on the body. Factors such as sleep, exercise, stress, and caffeine intake can directly influence this score. Additionally, Temple analyzes how gravity and one's posture (such as sitting or standing) affect blood flow in the brain. It should be noted that the device is intended solely for wellness and research purposes; it is not designed for medical diagnosis or treatment.
