*21*... A woman gets trapped by courier after dialing number, WhatsApp and phone get hacked, learn the shocking case..
A woman has shared her ordeal, warning people against fraud. Recently, in a video posted on social media, the victim shared her ordeal. She described how her WhatsApp and phone were hacked under the guise of a parcel delivery. She didn't receive any code, link, or photo on WhatsApp, but instead was asked to call a number. Simply making the call activated call forwarding on her number, and the OTP received for WhatsApp login was captured by the scammers. Let's explore the entire story.
Trapped in the Name of Delivery
The Instagram account Panjabinature posted a video in which the victim describes the scam. In the video, she describes receiving a call from the head office, who tells her that a parcel or courier has arrived. The delivery person can't find her address. "I'll send you his number, and you can call him." This incident occurred on November 4, 2025.
The victim did not ask any questions.
The victim says she was very busy that day, so she couldn't ask where the parcel was coming from or what was in it. She says that receiving parcels has become commonplace due to online shopping, so she didn't ask, and because she was busy, she didn't pay much attention to these things at the time.
Asked to call the delivery person
The victim said that when she asked over the phone to ask the delivery person to call her, the scammers told her that her number wasn't reachable through the app. "I'll give you the delivery person's number. You can call him." The scammers then sent a number via SMS.
Don't call this special number.
The number provided by the scammers was *21* (10-digit mobile number). The woman said she laughed after seeing the number. The scammers said that he was busy like her, so they sent the number without removing the special character. She then removed all special characters and dialed just a 10-digit number, and the call was connected to the scammer.
Hacked Phone and WhatsApp Through Call Forwarding
The scammer said, "You have already set up this phone at the head office. Just copy and paste the full number I provided and call." The victim was busy and couldn't answer the call, so the scammers called repeatedly.
The victim explained that after calling the number, call forwarding was automatically activated. An OTP (Official Transaction Protocol) was then sent to her phone, but she didn't respond. The scammers then obtained the OTP through call forwarding, and her phone and WhatsApp were hacked.
Victim Warns
In the video, the victim urged people not to call such numbers, especially those with special characters. These are for call forwarding. Calling these numbers activates call forwarding on your number, and the calls go to the scammer's number. This allows them to listen to calls containing OTPs on your phone.
