YIL Trade Apprentice 2026: Good news for young people looking for technical training and jobs in the government sector. Yantra India Limited (YIL) has announced trade apprentice opportunities for the year 2026. Under this recruitment drive, a total of 3,979 apprentices will be recruited across ordnance and ordnance equipment factories located throughout the country. Both ITI pass and non-ITI candidates will be given a chance.
This recruitment by Yantra India is for the 59th batch, in which young people will be given skill-based training under the Apprentices Act, 1961. A monthly stipend will also be provided during the training period, which will provide financial support to the candidates.

The online application process will begin on February 1, 2026, and will continue until 11:59 PM on March 3, 2026. Interested candidates will have to visit the Yantra India recruitment website and fill out the online form. Registration with an email ID and mobile number is mandatory for the application. After this, candidates will have to fill in the required information in the form and upload their photo, signature, and necessary documents.
Number of Posts and Categories
A total of 3,979 posts are available in this recruitment. Of these, 2,843 posts are for Ex-ITI Trade Apprentices, while 1,136 posts are reserved for Non-ITI candidates. Training will be provided in factories located in different states across the country.
What are the eligibility criteria?
For Non-ITI candidates, passing the 10th standard is mandatory, with a minimum of 50% marks overall. A minimum of 40% marks in Mathematics and Science is also required. Ex-ITI candidates must have passed ITI in the relevant trade from an institute recognized by NCVT or SCVT. A minimum of 50% marks in ITI is also required, along with 50% marks in the 10th standard. General and OBC candidates will have to pay a fee of Rs. 200 plus GST for the application. The fee for SC, ST, women, PwD, and transgender candidates is Rs. 100 plus GST. The fee will be paid online. Selected apprentices will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 8,200 to Rs. 9,600.
How will the selection be done?
Candidates will be selected based on a merit list, which will be prepared based on their marks. The selection will be factory-wise and trade-wise. This will be followed by document verification and a medical examination.
