WB Primary Teacher Recruitment: West Bengal Education Minister Bratya Basu said on Thursday that the state government will issue a notification for recruitment to 13,421 teacher positions after the Durga Puja festival. He said this is great news for teacher job seekers in the state during the festive season.

Basu wrote on X, "On the initiative of Honorable Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, the West Bengal State Board of Primary Education is going to issue a notification for recruitment to 13,421 vacant posts. The board will begin the recruitment process immediately after the puja. Best wishes to all job seekers in advance."

Teacher Eligibility Test 2023 results were released on September 24th
It is noteworthy that on September 24th, the West Bengal Board of Primary Education declared the results of the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) 2023. 273,147 candidates appeared for the exam, of which 6,754 (2.47%) were successful.

Meanwhile, 2022 TET candidates, who have not yet received interview calls, protested earlier this month, claiming that more than 50,000 positions in primary and upper primary schools remain vacant. The Education Minister dismissed this claim, stating that the board would soon issue a notification to fill all vacant positions.
