The Commission has added 932 new posts, bringing the total number of vacancies to 33,320. According to the revised notification issued by the Commission, 493 additional posts have been added for Middle School (Classes 9-10) and 439 for Higher Secondary School (Classes 11-12). These posts cover subjects such as Bangla, Fine Arts, Dance, Maithili, Special School Teacher, Arabic, Persian, Music, Bhojpuri, Magahi, Pali, and Prakrit. Let us look at where the recruitment for these additional posts will take place...
**Information Available on the Official Website**
A notice issued by the BPSC Exam Controller states that full details regarding the recruitment are available on the Commission's official website, bpsc.bihar.gov.in. The facility to pay the application fee under the recruitment process is available from September 25 to October 25, while the last date to submit the online application is October 26. Candidates will be selected based on a single written examination.
**Major Change to the OMR Sheet**
A significant change has also been introduced in the examination this time. Previously, the OMR sheet featured four options, but now a fifth option will also be provided. If a candidate does not wish to answer a question, they must fill in the circle for the fifth option. Failure to do so will result in negative marking of one-third (1/3) of a mark for that question; in other words, marks will be deducted if a question is left unanswered without selecting an option. **Required Qualifications**
Under TRE 4.0, recruitment will be conducted for the posts of Primary (Classes 1-5), Middle School (Classes 6-8), Secondary (Classes 9-10), and Higher Secondary (Classes 11-12) teachers, as well as for special teachers and principals.
Regarding qualifications, passing CTET Paper-1 or BTET Paper-1 is mandatory for teacher posts for Classes 1 to 5.
For Classes 6 to 8, passing CTET Paper-2 or BTET Paper-2 is required.
Passing STET Paper-1 is mandatory for posts involving Classes 9-10 and special schools, while passing STET Paper-2 is required for Classes 11-12.
**Category-wise Passing Marks Required**
For CTET candidates, a minimum of 60% marks is required for the General category; 55% marks for the Backward Class, Extremely Backward Class, and General female categories; and 50% marks for the SC, ST, and differently-abled categories.
**Age Requirements**
Regarding age, the maximum age limit is set at 37 years for the General category. It is 40 years for Backward Class, Extremely Backward Class, and unreserved female candidates, while the maximum age limit is fixed at 42 years for candidates belonging to the SC and ST categories.
