The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has released the notification for the Forest Guard and Wildlife Guard recruitment for 2026. Through this recruitment drive, a total of 708 posts will be filled, providing opportunities to a large number of young aspirants. **Who Can Apply?**
Only candidates who are citizens of India and have appeared in the PET-2025 examination are eligible to apply for this recruitment. Additionally, possession of a valid score card is mandatory. In terms of educational qualifications, it is mandatory for candidates to have passed the 12th grade from a recognized board. Candidates holding an NCC 'B' certificate, a computer course certificate, experience in the Territorial Army, or sports certificates may be given preference.
**Age Limit and Relaxations**
The minimum age limit for this recruitment has been set at 18 years, and the maximum age limit at 40 years. The age will be calculated as of July 1, 2026. Candidates belonging to the OBC category will receive an age relaxation of 3 years, while those in the SC/ST categories will receive a relaxation of 5 years. Other reserved categories will also be granted age relaxations in accordance with the applicable rules.
**Application Fee**
There is no application fee for this recruitment; however, all candidates are required to pay a processing fee of ₹25. This payment can be made through online modes such as UPI, Debit Card, Credit Card, or Net Banking.
**Selection Process**
The selection process will be conducted in multiple stages. First, candidates will be shortlisted based on their PET-2025 scores. This will be followed by a written examination consisting of 100 questions, wherein negative marking will also be applicable. Subsequently, a physical test and a medical examination will be conducted. Male candidates will be required to cover a distance of 25 km, while female candidates will need to cover 14 km.
