UPSSSC Recruitment 2026: Big Opportunity in UP Assembly Security Department; Applications for 170 Posts to Start Soon

The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has issued a recruitment notification for 170 posts of Firemen and Legislative Assembly Guards. Candidates who have qualified the PET 2025 examination can apply online at upsssc.gov.in until June 29.

The UPSSSC has released the recruitment notification for the Fireman and Legislative Assembly Guard positions for the year 2026. Under this recruitment drive, a total of 170 candidates will be selected. Only candidates who have qualified the PET 2025 examination are eligible to apply. Through this recruitment campaign, a total of 170 vacancies will be filled; specifically, 120 posts have been designated for Legislative Assembly Guards and 50 posts for Firemen. The Commission has also implemented a reservation policy for candidates belonging to various categories.

Who Can Apply?

To apply for this recruitment, candidates must have passed the 12th grade (Intermediate) examination from a recognized board. Additionally, applicants must possess a valid score card for the UPSSSC PET 2025 examination.

What is the Age Limit?

The minimum age limit for candidates has been set at 18 years, while the maximum age limit is 40 years. Candidates belonging to reserved categories will be granted age relaxation in accordance with government regulations.

Physical Eligibility Criteria

Candidates participating in this recruitment process must also pass a physical test. For male candidates belonging to the General, OBC, EWS, and SC categories, the prescribed height requirement is 168 cm, while for female candidates, it is 152 cm. Conversely, for male candidates belonging to the ST category, a height of 160 cm is required, and for female candidates, 147 cm is required. Specific chest measurements have also been prescribed for male candidates. Furthermore, candidates’ physical fitness and endurance will be assessed through running and general fitness tests.

What is the Selection Process?

The selection of candidates will be conducted in four stages. The process will begin with a written examination featuring questions related to General Knowledge, Computer Fundamentals, and General Knowledge specific to Uttar Pradesh. This will be followed by a Physical Efficiency Test. Successful candidates will be called for document verification and a medical test. Candidates who successfully clear all stages will be selected for the final recruitment.

Exam Pattern

The written examination will consist of a total of 100 multiple-choice questions. The exam will carry a total of 100 marks, and candidates will be allotted 2 hours to complete it. One mark will be awarded for every correct answer, while 0.25 marks will be deducted for each incorrect response. Therefore, candidates must attempt the questions with caution.
