Appearing for the Preliminary Eligibility Test (UP PET) is mandatory to participate in Group C recruitment in Uttar Pradesh. This exam is conducted annually, with lakhs of candidates participating. The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has released the notification for UP PET 2026, and the application process has commenced today, August 3. Candidates can complete the application process online by visiting upsssc.gov.in.
**Eligibility for 10th-Pass Candidates**
To apply for UP PET 2026, candidates must have passed at least Class 10 from a recognized board. Students who complete Class 10 (or an equivalent qualification) by the application deadline are also eligible to apply.
Additionally, candidates must be between 18 and 40 years of age as of July 1, 2026. Reserved category candidates will receive age relaxation as per the rules.

**Application Fee**
General and OBC category candidates are required to pay a fee of ₹185. SC/ST category candidates must pay ₹95, and PH (Physically Handicapped) category candidates must pay ₹25. The fee can be paid online.
**Scorecard Validity: 3 Years**
UPSSSC modified the validity period of the scorecard last year. Previously, the scorecard for this exam was valid for one year, but now it will be considered valid for three years from the date the result is declared.
