UPSSSC Lower PCS 2026: There is great news for young aspirants preparing for government jobs in Uttar Pradesh. The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has initiated the application process for the Combined Lower Subordinate Services (Lower PCS) Main Examination 2026. Through this recruitment drive, appointments will be made for a total of 2,285 posts across various departments of the state government. The application process commenced on May 29, 2026, and candidates will be able to submit their applications online until June 18, 2026. This recruitment drive is considered particularly significant as it encompasses several key administrative and departmental positions. The Commission has clarified that only those candidates who have successfully cleared the PET-2025 examination are eligible to apply.

**Forms Can Be Submitted Until June 18**
According to the official notification issued by the UPSSSC, candidates may submit their applications until June 18, 2026. If any errors occur while filling out the application form, candidates will be provided an opportunity to rectify them. The Commission has set June 25, 2026, as the final deadline for making amendments to applications. Furthermore, the Commission has clarified that the selection of candidates for the Main Examination will be based on their normalized scores in the PET-2025; consequently, candidates who have secured a high score in the PET stand a greater chance of being shortlisted for the Main Examination.

**Which Posts Are Open for Recruitment?**
Through this recruitment process, several pivotal positions across various departments of the Uttar Pradesh government will be filled. These include posts such as Assistant Treasury Accountant, Auditor, Amin, Executive Officer, Clerk, Assistant Consolidation Officer, Assistant Manager, Center In-charge, District Assistant Immunization Officer, and Market Supervisor. The highest number of vacancies has been announced for the positions of Assistant Treasury Accountant and Auditor. There are a total of 548 vacancies for the post of Assistant Treasury Accountant, while 419 vacancies have been allocated for the post of Auditor. Additionally, recruitment will be conducted for 323 posts of Amin and Auctioneer, 238 posts of Executive Officer, and 229 posts within the Clerical category. 

**Seats Allocated by Category**
The Commission has given due consideration to the reservation system in this recruitment process. Out of a total of 2,285 posts, 1,030 seats have been reserved for the Unreserved category. Specifically, 421 seats have been allocated for the Scheduled Castes (SC) category, 49 seats for the Scheduled Tribes (ST) category, 563 seats for the Other Backward Classes (OBC) category, and 222 seats for the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS).

**Only PET-2025 Qualifiers May Apply**
The Commission has clarified that this recruitment drive is open exclusively to candidates who have successfully passed the Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET-2025). Candidates who secured very low marks or zero marks in the PET will not be shortlisted for the main examination. The results of certain candidates are currently under scrutiny. Such candidates have been permitted to apply on a provisional basis for the time being; however, their final selection will be contingent upon the Commission's decision.

**Application Fee: Just ₹25**
For this recruitment drive, the application fee has been fixed at a nominal ₹25 for all categories. Candidates will be able to submit the fee through online channels. Applications will be accepted exclusively via the online mode. To apply, candidates must visit the official UPSSSC website: upsssc.gov.in. Access to the application portal will be granted by logging in using the PET-2025 registration number.

**No Changes Permitted to Photograph and Signature**
The Commission has further clarified that the photograph and signature used during the application process must be the exact same ones that were uploaded during the PET-2025 registration. No modifications or changes of any kind will be permitted in this regard.

**How ​​to Fill Out the Application Form**
Candidates must first visit the official UPSSSC website. From there, they should navigate to the 'Live Advertisement' section and open the relevant recruitment advertisement. Subsequently, they must log in using their PET-2025 registration number. Once the form opens, candidates are required to fill in their personal details and select their preferred post. Following this, they must submit the online application fee and finalize the form submission. As a final step, candidates are advised to save a printout of the submitted application form for their records.

Consequently, candidates with higher PET scores are considered to have a greater likelihood of selection.
