UPSSSC Lekhpal Recruitment 2026: Applications begin for Lekhpal recruitment in Uttar Pradesh, apply for over 7,000 posts

UPSSSC Lekhpal Recruitment 2026: UPSSSC has started the application process for the recruitment of 7,994 Lekhpal posts in Uttar Pradesh from December 29. Eligible candidates with a valid UP PET score can apply online until January 28, 2026.

This is great news for young people preparing for government jobs in Uttar Pradesh. The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) had released the notification for the recruitment of 7,994 Lekhpal posts. The online application process for this recruitment started on December 29, 2025. Candidates who meet the required eligibility criteria for the Lekhpal post can apply by visiting the commission's official website upsssc.gov.in. The last date to apply is January 28, 2026.

UPSSSC released the official notification for this recruitment on December 16, 2025.  Following this, the commission announced the application dates. The application process has started today. Candidates can submit their applications and fees until January 28, 2026. If a candidate makes a mistake while filling out the form, they will also get a chance to correct their application until February 4, 2026.

Who can apply?

To apply for the Lekhpal post, candidates must have a valid Uttar Pradesh Preliminary Eligibility Test (UP PET) scorecard. In addition, the candidate must have passed the Intermediate (12th) or equivalent examination from a recognized board or institution.

Regarding the age limit, the candidate's minimum age should be 18 years and the maximum age should be 40 years. Candidates belonging to the reserved categories will be given age relaxation as per government rules.

How much is the application fee?

Candidates will have to pay only Rs. 25 as the application fee for the Lekhpal recruitment. This fee can be submitted online. The application process will be considered complete only after the fee is paid. For more details, candidates can refer to the official website.

How to Apply?

The application process for Lekhpal recruitment is entirely online. Candidates need to log in to the Applicant's Dashboard on the UPSSSC website. The UP PET 2025 registration number will be required for login. After logging in, candidates should enter their details. An OTP will then be sent to the candidate's registered mobile number or email address. Upon entering the OTP, the filled application form will appear on the screen. Candidates can carefully review the form and print it if desired.
