The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has announced a massive recruitment drive for Forest Guards; the official notification for this has been released on the UPSSSC website: www.upsssc.gov.in. **What are the Eligibility Criteria?**
**Educational Qualification:** Candidates who have passed the Intermediate (12th grade) examination—or possess an equivalent qualification—from a recognized board or university are eligible to apply for this recruitment.
**Age Limit:** For the UPSSSC Forest Guard and Wildlife Guard recruitment, candidates must be between 18 and 40 years of age. However, candidates belonging to reserved categories will be granted age relaxation in accordance with government regulations.

**What is the Application Fee?**
Candidates applying for these positions are required to pay an application fee of ₹25. This fee applies to candidates across all categories, ranging from the General category to OBC, SC, and ST categories.

**Selection Process and Exam Pattern**
Candidates applying for these posts will undergo a multi-stage selection process, which includes a written examination, physical fitness tests, document verification, and a medical examination. The duration of the examination will be 2 hours and 30 minutes, and the paper will consist of a total of 200 questions carrying a maximum of 200 marks. This examination will also feature negative marking; therefore, candidates are advised to answer with due deliberation.

What will be the salary?
Candidates selected for both the Forest Guard and Wildlife Guard positions will receive a monthly salary ranging from ₹19,900 to ₹63,200, under the pay band of ₹5,200–₹20,200 and a Grade Pay of ₹1,900.
