The highest number of vacancies continues to be within the Economics and Statistics Division, which falls under the Planning Department. Additionally, new positions have been included in departments such as Industry and Enterprise Promotion, Agriculture, Medical and Health Services, Higher Education, Animal Husbandry, and the Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited. Following the addition of these new positions, the total number of vacancies has risen to 1,565. The Commission has also provided details regarding separate horizontal reservation quotas for candidates belonging to reserved categories and for candidates with disabilities within the revised notification.

**Who Can Apply?**
Candidates applying for these positions must hold a postgraduate degree in Mathematics, Mathematical Statistics, Commerce, Economics, or Statistics from a recognized university. Furthermore, it is mandatory for candidates to possess knowledge of Hindi in the Devanagari script. The Commission has clarified that passing the UP PET 2024 is a mandatory prerequisite for candidates wishing to participate in this recruitment process. Additionally, preference may be given to candidates who hold a diploma in Computer Science or possess a recognized computer proficiency qualification.

**What is the Prescribed Age Limit?** According to the notification, candidates must be at least 21 years of age and not more than 40 years of age. Age will be calculated as of July 1, 2024. Candidates belonging to reserved categories will also be eligible for age relaxation in accordance with the rules of the Government of Uttar Pradesh.
