The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the official notification for the recruitment of Principals and Vice-Principals. Candidates wishing to apply for these positions will soon be able to do so by visiting the official UPSC website. The online application process for these posts will commence on July 25.

Interested and eligible candidates can fill out their applications on the official website until August 14, 2026. A total of 828 candidates will be selected through this recruitment drive; 704 posts are reserved for Vice-Principals and 124 posts for Principals.

**Age Limit**
For the post of Principal, the maximum age limit is set at 50 years for General and EWS candidates, 53 years for OBC candidates, and 55 years for SC and ST candidates. For the post of Vice-Principal, the age limit is 35 years for General candidates, 38 years for OBC candidates, and 40 years for SC and ST candidates. Age relaxation will be provided to candidates belonging to reserved categories.

**Post-wise Details**
Recruitment is to be conducted for a total of 124 Principal posts. Of these, 69 posts are reserved for General candidates, 11 for EWS, 18 for OBC, 16 for SC, and 10 for ST candidates. Additionally, recruitment will be held for a total of 704 Vice-Principal posts. This includes 287 posts for General candidates, 71 for EWS, 189 for OBC, 103 for SC, and 54 for ST candidates.
