UPSC NDA Recruitment 2026: A unique opportunity has emerged for young aspirants preparing to become civil servants. The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has invited applications by issuing an official notification for the recruitment of eligible candidates to a total of 394 posts under the National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination (II), 2026. These posts comprise 370 vacancies for men and 24 for women.
The online application process for all these posts commenced on May 20, and the deadline for applying has been set for June 9. Consequently, candidates wishing to fill out the application form for recruitment to the posts announced by the UPSC may visit the Commission's official portal to submit their registration forms on or before 6:00 PM on the specified deadline.

Vacancy Details
The vacancies announced by the UPSC include 370 posts for the National Defence Academy (NDA) and 24 posts for the Indian Naval Academy (INA – 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme). The 370 posts within the NDA comprise 208 for the Army (198 men, 10 women), 42 for the Navy (37 men, 5 women), 92 for the Air Force (Flying) (90 men, 2 women), 18 for Ground Duty (Technical) (16 men, 2 women), and 10 for Ground Duty (Non-Technical) (8 men, 2 women). Meanwhile, the 24 posts within the Indian Naval Academy (INA) consist of 24 vacancies for men and 3 for women. Educational Qualification and Age Limit

Candidates applying for the Army Wing of the National Defence Academy must have passed the 12th class under the 10+2 system, or an equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University. Meanwhile, for the Air Force and Naval Wings of the National Defence Academy, as well as for the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy, candidates must have passed the 12th class with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, in accordance with the 10+2 curriculum.

Candidates should note that only unmarried male and female candidates—born not earlier than January 1, 2008, and not later than January 1, 2011—are eligible to apply.

Selection Process
Eligible candidates will be selected based on a written examination (objective type), SSB Intelligence and Personality Tests, a medical examination, and document verification. Following this, selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend of ₹56,000 during their training period. The written examination is scheduled to be held on September 13.

Application Fee
While filling out the application form, candidates are required to pay the prescribed application fee online, based on their respective categories. The fee is fixed at ₹100 for General/OBC/EWS (Male) candidates. However, female candidates (across all categories), as well as candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), students currently studying in Military Schools/Sainik Schools (run by the Sainik Schools Society), and children of ex-JCOs/NCOs/ORs, are exempted from paying the registration fee.
