The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the official notification for the Combined Geo-Scientist Examination 2027. Candidates wishing to apply for the UPSC Geo-Scientist 2027 examination can do so by visiting the official UPSC website, upsconline.nic.in. The last date to apply is September 22, 2026. A total of 127 eligible candidates will be recruited through this examination.
**Selection Process**
Candidate selection will be based on a Preliminary Examination, a Main Examination, and an interview. The Preliminary Examination will consist of two papers. Paper-1 will feature questions worth 100 marks on General Studies. Paper-2 will include questions worth 300 marks based on the subject relevant to the specific post. The Preliminary Examination is scheduled for January 10, 2027. Candidates who qualify in this stage will appear for the Main Examination on June 19 and 20, 2027.
**Age Limit**
To apply for the Combined Geo-Scientist Examination 2027, candidates must be between 21 and 32 years of age. Age will be calculated as of January 1, 2027. Age relaxation will be provided to candidates belonging to reserved categories.
**Educational Qualification**
To apply for the Geo-Scientist posts, candidates must hold a Master's degree from a recognized institution in India.
**Registration Fee**
Candidates belonging to SC, ST, and PwD categories, as well as female candidates, are exempted from the registration fee. However, candidates from the unreserved category are required to make an online payment of ₹200 upon filling out the application form.
