Eligibility Criteria for UPSC Medical Services
Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed the MBBS examination, including both the written and practical components. Candidates currently in the final year of their MBBS program are also eligible to apply; however, they must submit proof of having passed the examination within the time limit stipulated by the Commission.
Age Limit: To appear for this examination, candidates must not have completed 32 years of age as of August 1, 2026. In terms of date of birth, candidates must not have been born before August 2, 1994. For all cadres of the Central Health Service (GDMO), the upper age limit is set at 35 years. However, age relaxation in the maximum age limit will be granted as per the rules: 5 years for SC/ST candidates, 3 years for OBC candidates, 3 years for Persons with Disabilities (PwD) belonging to Defense Services, and applicable relaxation for others.
