UPSC Recruitment 2026: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has issued an official notification inviting applications for a total of 13 posts across various departments and ministries. The 13 vacancies include: 1 post of Junior Technical Officer (Sugar Technology) at the National Sugar Institute, Kanpur (Department of Food and Public Distribution, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution); 8 posts of Assistant Legislative Counsel (Grade IV of the Indian Legal Service) in the Legislative Department of the Ministry of Law and Justice; 3 posts of Law Officer in the Land and Building Department of the Delhi Government; and 1 post of Specialist Grade-II (Junior Scale) – Cardiology at the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC).

The online application process for these posts commenced on September 26, and the deadline for submission is October 16. Eligible and interested candidates wishing to apply can complete their registration on the Commission's official website by 6:00 PM on the closing date.

**Educational Qualifications and Age Limit**
Candidates must possess the following qualifications from a recognized institution or university: a degree in Science or Engineering for the post of Junior Technical Officer; a degree in Law for Assistant Legislative Counsel; and a post-graduate degree in Cardiology (DM Cardiology) or an equivalent qualification for Specialist Grade-II (Junior Scale) – Cardiology. Additionally, candidates are required to have 2 to 7 years of relevant experience in the respective field, depending on the post.

The maximum age limit for applicants ranges from 30 to 48 years, depending on the post; this will be calculated based on the application submission deadline. Candidates belonging to reserved categories will be granted age relaxation in accordance with the rules.

**Selection Process**

Eligible candidates will be selected based on the screening of applications, a Recruitment Test (RT) or Combined Recruitment Test (CRT), and an interview. Following selection, the monthly salary for candidates will range from Level 7 to Level 11 (under the 7th CPC), depending on the specific post. Additionally, candidates will receive other benefits and allowances.

**Application Fee**

While filling out the application form, candidates must pay the prescribed application fee online based on their category; the fee is set at ₹25 for General, OBC, and EWS candidates. However, women, SC/ST candidates, and persons with benchmark disabilities are exempted from the registration fee.
