UPPSC Polytechnic Lecturer Recruitment Begins, 513 Posts Available; High Salary Offered

UPPSC has opened applications for 513 Polytechnic Lecturer Recruitment 2025-26, covering all engineering, technical, and non-engineering disciplines.

Before the start of the new year, great news has arrived for the youth of Uttar Pradesh. The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission has released the much-awaited notification for the Polytechnic Lecturer Recruitment 2025-26. This recruitment process will fill a total of 513 positions across engineering, technical, architecture, and non-engineering disciplines.

The Commission's notification clarifies that this time the application process will be completely online, and candidates will be able to apply from December 2, 2025, to January 2, 2026. For candidates who make mistakes while filling out the form, the correction window remains open until January 9, 2026. This recruitment process had been delayed for a long time, so the announcement has sparked enthusiasm among candidates, and many have decided to take their preparations to the final stage.

The eligibility criteria for applying for this UPPSC recruitment vary by subject. For engineering and technical subjects, candidates must have a first-class BE, B.Tech, or BS degree in the relevant field. For non-engineering candidates, a first-class bachelor's or master's degree in the relevant field is mandatory. The Commission has mandated a master's degree for non-engineering subjects.

For physics, chemistry, mathematics, English, and other non-engineering subjects, candidates must have a first-class master's degree. For architecture, a four-year first-class B.Arch. or a related field will be considered. It's clear that the Commission has not compromised on eligibility this time, and only qualified candidates will be eligible.

Application Fee

The application fee has been set differently by category. Unreserved, Other Backward Classes, and Economically Weaker Section candidates will have to deposit ₹225. For Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, the fee is ₹105, while for persons with disabilities, it is only ₹25. Ex-servicemen will also have to pay ₹105. The fee will be paid online, simplifying the application process.

Selection Process

The selection process will be multi-stage. First, candidates will have to appear for a written examination, which will consist of two papers: General Hindi and General Studies, and a subject-specific paper. A total of 250 questions carrying 750 marks have been allocated, with negative marking applicable for incorrect answers. Successful candidates will be called for an interview, where their subject knowledge, confidence, and communication skills will be assessed. After the interview, document verification will be the final step. Appointment will be granted only if all documents are found to be correct.

How much salary will be offered?

Salary wise, the starting salary will be ₹56,100 to ₹57,700. This will include dearness allowance, house rent allowance, and other government benefits.

How to apply?

Applying is very easy. Candidates must first visit the official UPPSC website, uppsc.up.nic.in. Click on "New Registration" to register. Upon entering basic information, you will receive a user ID and password. After logging in, the application form will open, where you will need to fill in your personal details, educational information, and other relevant details. You will also need to upload a scanned passport-size photo, signature, and other required documents. After completing all the information and paying the fees, submit the form. Upon submitting the form, candidates are advised to download and save a copy for future reference.
