UPPSC APO Recruitment 2025: Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has announced another big recruitment for the youth. The commission has invited applications for 182 posts of Assistant Prosecution Officer (APO). The online application process has started from 16 September 2025, and candidates can apply till 16 October 2025. This is also the last date for depositing the examination fee and accepting the application. At the same time, the last date for correction in the application and fee settlement has been fixed as 24 October.
Candidates with a graduate degree in law can apply.
For UPPSC APO Recruitment 2025, the age of the candidates should be between 21 years and 40 years as on 1 July 2025. At the same time, as an educational qualification, the candidates must have a bachelor's degree in law from a recognized university or institute.

Recruitment was done for 69 posts three years ago.
Earlier in April 2022, an advertisement was issued for recruitment to 69 posts of Assistant Prosecution Officer (APO). UPPSC had completed the selection process in 14 months through preliminary and main examinations and interviews, and the final selection result of this recruitment was released in June 2023.
Major changes in the exam pattern
This time, major changes have been made in the exam pattern in the UPPSC APO Recruitment 2025. In the preliminary examination, as before, Part-1 (General Knowledge) will remain of 50 marks, but Part-2 (Law) has been amended. Now it will include questions of 30 marks from the Indian Judicial Code, 25 marks from the Indian Civil Defence Code, 20 marks from the Indian Evidence Act, 15 marks from the Uttar Pradesh Police Act and Rules, and 10 marks from the Indian Constitution.
At the same time, the format of the main examination has also been changed. Earlier, the main examination was of 400 marks, but now it has been increased to 500 marks, and the English subject (50 marks) has also been made compulsory. According to the revised syllabus, the main examination will have questions of General Hindi 100 marks, General English 50 marks, General Knowledge 50 marks, Criminal Law and Procedure 100 marks, Evidence Act 100 marks, and other Acts 100 marks.
