Who Can Apply?
**Assistant Environmental Engineer:** For the post of Assistant Environmental Engineer, candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Chemical Engineering, Chemical Technology, Civil Engineering, or Environmental Engineering from a recognized university. An AMIE qualification or an equivalent qualification in the relevant discipline will also be considered valid.
Assistant Scientific Officer: For the post of Assistant Scientific Officer, candidates must hold a Ph.D. degree in Chemistry, Zoology, Botany, or Biochemistry, along with a minimum of three years of experience in the field of Environment, Pollution Control, or Public Health. Alternatively, candidates holding a Postgraduate (M.Sc.) degree in the aforementioned subjects are required to possess at least five years of work experience in the field of Environment, Pollution Control, or Public Health.

How will the Selection be Conducted?
The selection process for the PCB Recruitment 2026 will be conducted in two stages, with a total weightage of 470 marks. The first stage will consist of a Computer-Based Test (CBT) comprising objective-type questions, carrying 400 marks; while the second stage will involve an interview carrying 70 marks.
A merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained in the Computer-Based Test, and eligible candidates will be invited for the interview accordingly. The final selection will be based on the total combined marks secured in both stages.
