UP Assistant Professor B.Ed Vacancy 2025: A big update has come out regarding the recruitment of Assistant Professor (B.Ed) in non-government-aided colleges in Uttar Pradesh. The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) has not only amended the eligibility for recruitment but has also extended the last date of application to 21 June 2025.

Last date for fee submission: 22 June 2025
The last date for submitting an online application: is 23 June 2025 (till midnight)

Why were the rules changed?
The Commission had issued a revised notification on 23 May under Advertisement No. 51, in which candidates had objected to some changes. After reviewing the representations, the Commission has now approved the subject 'Humanities' in place of 'Language', so that more students can participate in this recruitment process.

New Eligibility Criteria

Candidates applying for the post of Assistant Professor in B.Ed subject must have a Masters degree in Science, Mathematics, Social Science, Commerce or Humanities subjects with minimum 55 percent marks. Along with this, a minimum of 55 percent marks are also required in an M.Ed degree in the relevant subject. If the candidate has an MA (Education) or M.Ed degree in Pedagogy subject and has also obtained 55 percent marks in it, then they will also be eligible to apply. Apart from this, the candidates will have to pass UGC NET in Pedagogy subject or they should have obtained PhD or DPhil degree as per the regulations of the University Grants Commission (UGC) of the year 2009. Under the reservation policy, candidates of reserved categories will be given relaxation in minimum marks as per the rules.

Application fee
The application fee for the candidates of General, Economically Weaker Section (EWS), and Other Backward Class (OBC) applying under this recruitment process has been fixed at Rs 2000, while the candidates of Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) category will have to pay a fee of Rs 1000.

Pay Scale
The selected candidates will be offered a pay scale of Rs 15,600 to Rs 39,100 for the post of Assistant Professor. Along with this, grade pay of Rs 6000 is fixed. In addition, allowances applicable from time to time by the State Government will also be payable.
