UP Teacher New Vacancy 2026: Important updates regarding new teacher recruitment in Uttar Pradesh are expected to be released soon. The Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Department may send a requisition to the Education Service Commission for more than 30,000 vacant TGT and PGT posts. Candidates preparing for government jobs can expect good news at the beginning of 2026.

Recently, questions were raised in both houses of the state legislature regarding filling the vacant TGT and PGT posts in the state's non-government aided secondary schools. In response, the UP government stated that the Education Service Selection Commission has been constituted and the new teacher recruitment process will begin soon. The Secondary Education Department, Uttar Pradesh, has started collecting details to fill the vacant posts. After the process is complete, the department will send the details to the commission.

UP TGT PGT Vacancy 2026: More than 30,000 Vacancies Expected
Through this recruitment drive, more than 30,000 teacher positions are expected to be filled in the state's schools. According to reports, a total of 30,731 vacancies may be announced at the beginning of 2026. These may include 24,515 TGT posts and 6,216 PGT posts.

When will the UP New Teacher Recruitment Notification be released?
According to the order issued by the Directorate, all District Inspectors of Schools (DIOS) have been instructed to verify and send certificates related to vacancies, excluding posts reserved for transfers in 2025-26. The Uttar Pradesh Education Selection Commission had sought information for new recruitment on July 29.

The last date for submitting the requisition, including potential vacancies is March 31, 2026. It is believed that after this, the UP Teacher Job notification may be released, and the direct recruitment process will begin.

Before the notification, all verified vacancies will be uploaded by the Education Directorate on the UPESSC portal. Each district has been instructed to ensure the accuracy of the data before submitting it. According to Deputy Director (Secondary-3) Dr. Brajesh Mishra, this process has been implemented to maintain transparency and efficiency in the recruitment process. After final approval, the recruitment process will be conducted online through the official portal. Currently, young people should focus on preparing for the government recruitment exams.
