Sub-Inspector Vacancy 2025: Major news has emerged regarding the UP Police Sub-Inspector recruitment for 2025. The Allahabad High Court has issued a significant order, placing an interim stay on the issuance of appointment letters for the 4,543 posts involved in the recruitment drive. The next hearing on petitions filed by candidates concerning changes to questions and the answer key is scheduled for October 5. Let us understand the details of the matter...

According to reports, the advertisement for the direct recruitment of Sub-Inspectors (Civil Police) and equivalent posts in Uttar Pradesh was issued on August 12, 2025. Approximately 15.75 lakh applications were received for this recruitment, while around 10.77 lakh candidates appeared for the written examination held on March 14 and 15. The exam results were declared on May 7, 2026.

During the recruitment process, some candidates raised objections regarding changes made to questions and answers after the examination. They alleged that the recruitment board failed to consider their objections. Subsequently, several candidates—including Shyam Sundar, Kamlesh Yadav, and Yash Pandey—filed petitions in the High Court.

The matter was heard by a single-judge bench presided over by Justice Anish Kumar Gupta. Senior Advocates Ashok Khare, Sanjay Kumar Yadav, and Alok Mishra represented the petitioners.
