There's great news for candidates dreaming of a job as a UP Police Constable. Those preparing for the UP Police Constable 2026 exam can now apply for these positions. The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) has started online registration for a total of 32,679 UP Police Constable posts. Candidates can apply on the official website until January 31, 2026.
Salary Details
Candidates selected for the Constable positions will receive a monthly salary ranging from ₹21,700 to ₹69,100.
Registration Fee
The registration fee varies for different categories of candidates. The registration fee is ₹500 for General, OBC, and EWS candidates, and ₹400 for SC and ST candidates.
Eligibility Criteria
To apply, candidates must have passed Class 12th from a recognized institution in India.
The minimum age for male candidates applying for Constable positions is 18 years, and the maximum age is 22 years. Similarly, the minimum age for female candidates is 18 years, and the maximum age should not exceed 22 years. However, candidates from reserved categories will be given age relaxation.
Selection Process
Selection for UP Police Constable positions will be based on a written examination, PET (Physical Efficiency Test), and PST (Physical Standards Test). The written examination will consist of 150 multiple-choice questions worth 300 marks, covering General Knowledge, General Hindi, Numerical and Mental Ability, Mental Aptitude, Intelligence Quotient, and Reasoning Ability. The exam will be conducted for two hours. Candidates who qualify in this examination will be invited for the next stage.
