UP Home Guards: There is good news for Home Guard candidates regarding the Uttar Pradesh Police recruitment 2025.  In the direct recruitment for Constable Civil Police and equivalent posts in 2025, both male and female Home Guards will now be given a three-year age relaxation. This increases their maximum age limit from 25 years to 28 years.

Additional Secretary (Recruitment) Satyarth Anirudh Pankaj informed that under this relaxation, the date of birth of candidates in both male and female categories should be between July 2, 1997, and July 1, 2007. He stated that all categories had already been given a three-year age relaxation in the police recruitment process, and now Home Guards have also been granted this benefit. The recruitment board has issued a clear notification in this regard.

Now, both male and female Home Guard candidates will get a 3-year age relaxation. Previously, the maximum age limit was 25 years, but it has now been increased to 28 years. This age relaxation will allow a larger number of Home Guard volunteers to apply for this recruitment. Candidates are advised to check the official notification released on the board's official website for complete information.

Selection Process
The selection process for UP Home Guard recruitment includes a Physical Standard Test and a Physical Efficiency Test (running).
For Male Candidates:
Minimum Height: 168 cm
Chest: 79 cm (84 cm expanded)
Run: 4.8 kilometers, time limit 28 minutes
For Female Candidates:
Minimum Height: 152 cm
Minimum Weight: 40 kg
Run: 2.4 kilometers, time limit 16 minutes
Candidates belonging to the ST (Scheduled Tribe) category will be given additional relaxation in height and chest measurements as per rules.

Duty Allowance and Facilities
Home Guard volunteers will receive an allowance of Rs. 600 per day for performing duty. They will also receive dearness allowance from time to time. Districts with the most vacancies

Educational Qualification
The candidate must have passed the 10th grade. The applicant's age should be between 18 and 30 years, and their date of birth should not be before July 1, 1995, or after July 1, 2007.  Additionally, there is a five-year age relaxation for candidates belonging to SC, ST, and OBC categories.
