What are the eligibility criteria?
For Sub Inspector (Confidential), a graduation or equivalent degree from a recognized university is required. Along with this, Hindi typing at 25 words per minute, English typing at 30 words per minute, Hindi shorthand at 80 words per minute, and passing the O Level computer examination from NIELIT (DOEACC) are mandatory, as determined on May 5, 2022. For Assistant Sub Inspector (Clerk), a graduation degree along with Hindi typing at 25 words per minute and an O Level certificate is required. For Assistant Sub Inspector (Accounts), a graduation in Commerce or a Post Graduate Diploma in Accounting/equivalent degree, Hindi typing at 15 words per minute, and an O Level certificate are mandatory.

What are the age limit and salary?
Candidates must be a minimum of 18 years old and a maximum of 28 years old, while the reserved categories will receive relaxation in the upper age limit as per government rules. Regarding salary, Police SI (Confidential) will receive Rs. 35,400 to Rs. 1,12,400 per month, and Police ASI (Clerk and Accounts) will receive Rs. 29,200 to Rs. 92,300 per month.

How will the selection be made?
The selection process will involve an offline written examination, document verification, physical standards test, computer typing test, shorthand test (where applicable), and a medical test. The written examination will consist of 50 questions on General Hindi/Computer Knowledge (100 marks), 50 questions on General Information/Current Affairs (100 marks), 50 questions on Numerical and Mental Ability Test/Mental Aptitude Test (100 marks), and 50 questions on Intelligence Test/Logical Test (100 marks).
