Eligibility for UP Police Recruitment?
Applicants must have passed the 12th class from any recognized board or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the government. Please note that candidates who are appearing for or have yet to appear for the 12th class examination are not eligible to apply. Additionally, candidates must have completed a minimum age of 18 years and a maximum age of 22 years as of July 1, 2025. Following the new announcement, there will be a 3-year age relaxation. This means that men up to 25 years of age (General category) can also apply. Similarly, other categories will also receive a 3-year age relaxation.

Domicile Certificate (For all categories: General, OBC, SC, ST, and EWS of Uttar Pradesh)
Certificate for State Government Employees must be in accordance with the prescribed format-5.
Certificate for dependents of Freedom Fighters. (If applicable)
For female candidates claiming a reservation, the caste certificate issued by the father's side will be considered valid.
Certificates submitted for appointment to posts under the Government of India, such as Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe, Economically Weaker Section (EWS), and Other Backward Classes certificates, will not be accepted. In simple terms, central government certificates will not be valid. You must submit certificates in the state-level prescribed format.
